oh no! it is indeed tricky; i've found that i tend to treat my homes like cups and just fill them to capacity if i don't think about it :)

what's helped me in the past when i moved into larger apartments and suddenly had more space than i was used to is reconceptualizing my idea of spaciousness. i like a certain amount of airiness or a feeling of space in my homes. and once i was clear with myself about what that was, and realized that i like to err on the side of slightly emptier than slightly more full, it helped. it became a conscious decision.

i LOVE buying new furniture, so another thing i tried was that if there was something i wanted to replace, i got rid of it first and then sat with the empty space for a while until i was sure i wanted to fill it back up.

and i'm also a huge fan of organized storage systems so that what i do have is both out of sight and out of mind (because i'm not stressing about how i really should organize my bookshelves or junk drawer)! what are some other tips that might help?

Hi Shellie! Any luck yet with the Tea Tree Essential oil? If you are using pure, Tea Tree ESSENTIAL oil, neat, on your problem spots,at least 2x daily you should be seeing a difference by now. Also, avoiding long, hot showers will help too, so you're not stripping your skin and leaving it more prone to dermatitis.

I really like how well the issues are presented in this article, and being specialized in stress management as well as a tech lover, I completely identify with the subject matter! I'll even go as far as to say that my iPad goes with me EVERYWHERE, so I understand how easy it is to get addicted! :-)
To relieve this type of stress, I find meditation very useful. To turn off all electronic devices and sit in the silence from within establishes peace and serenity......and undoubtedly new energy with which to begin working with the devices again!

I went from a 2500 square foot house to a motor home (32 foot) for three years. Now that I'm back in a 1500 square foot house I find it filling up again. That is my biggest problem. I'm constantly clearing out and culling items--and yet--in my experience, you must be constantly on guard or your space will fill up instead of filling you up.

It is great that designers are supporting the environment by donating part of their proceeds but that does not make the design Eco-friendly. Only one designer ( Allison Parris) was listed as using organic fabrics! I will only wear organic fabrics, do you know how hard it is to find a dress for a special occasion that is truly Eco!?

Yes i believe that people hold alot of guilt inside for instance myself over my childhood and the things i have put myself thru. I am very young but i feel very guilty over choices ive made. For instance i have always been feeling haunted by the fact that when i was 9years old my cousin whom i consider a xclose fatherly figure would molest me for years and give me candy to be shut. I feel ashame now that it has been many years i confessed to my mom about it but i feel worse because my brothers i feel think thw worse of me. I would like to forget and move on but my self esteem and confisence as a young lady is very low

hi Steve-
thank YOU for these ideas*! powerful alternatives to our current failing system.
and agree on the collaborative genius of a Community Vision aligned with a higher good purpose. Our earth. Our sea. Our air. Our time... these are not commodities to be prospered and controlled by individuals, but gifts for all of us to share.
