As a Relationship Builder for Modern Hippie Mag I contacted one of the co-founders of L’BRI Pure n’ Natural regarding advertising, but he explained to me that the only thing he was interested in was selling their $6.95 sample kit. He has such confidence in the quality of their products that he believes the sample kit is all people need to try in order to become loyal fans of L’BRI. At the time I thought, “Wow, this must be a pretty good product if he’s that confident.” But little did I know what I was in for.
I was excited to receive the samples because I was desperately in need of new skin care products. The brand I had been using raised their price considerably awhile back and I didn’t want to pay the increase. So, I have been wandering aimlessly through the product aisles of health food stores for over a year. I tried a little of this and a little of that, but didn’t love anything enough to commit to it and I skipped over many products because I didn’t want to spend a lot of money and risk not loving what I paid for. I often gave in to a bar of natural face soap for a few bucks. This was a product intended for faces much younger than mine, but I was hoping it would hold me over until I found what I really wanted.
Well, my 39 year old skin started to pay a price for my willy nilly facial maintenance and for the first time in my life I really began to notice the lines and signs of age. I would look in the mirror in the morning and think, “Oh crap, I’ve really hit the mark now!” Then I would quickly apply makeup so I could let out a sigh of relief and face the world with all the confidence of a 33yr old. I even conceded to my husband in a laughing sigh of defeat that it would only be a few more years before I would be going in for a nip/tuck around the eyes.
When I started using the L’BRI samples I wasn’t expecting any miracles, I was just happy to have a lead on a new product that I might like enough to start using regularly. Well, to my utter amazement…and yes, it really was amazement… it was only three days until I could see a truly noticeable difference in my appearance! My skin looked healthier and more hydrated and I felt better about my reflection, like maybe I wasn’t turning into an old wrinkled apple after all. By day six, my face began to take on a youthful plumpness that seemed to fill in the lines I previously noticed, especially around my eyes. I literally felt like my skin recovered five years and I was so happy with the difference that I didn’t wear any make up that day! I seriously decided that if aloe is this good on the outside, surely it will rejuvenate my insides and I rushed out and bought some organic aloe vera juice which I have been drinking every day since.
I’ve used a variety of products over the years, some natural, some not so much. I liked a lot of them, but for the most part they seemed to keep my skin the same as it had been. None of them ever showed such dramatic results in terms of actually making my face look younger. In fact, until now, I didn’t really think that was possible. I thought ”younger looking skin” was a marketing ploy and if you drank a lot of water and ate healthy, your skin would look as young as it was ever going to look. L’BRI Pure n’ Natural has changed my mind about this. I think the $6.95 sample kit is great because you can try them out without spending a lot. It definitely sold me and by the end of the week I put in my order for full size products. The only bummer is that now I’m stuck using my hodge podge of other junk while I wait for my order to get here. Oh how I wish I ordered on day three rather than waiting until day 7 when the samples had pretty well run out and I had to cut open the bottle of moisturizer to scrape out the last of it with a toothpick and pray it was enough to cover my whole face. Sigh.
