Have you ever fallen into comparison mode? Wanting something someone else has? “I wish I had that life, that body, that money, that house, that spouse.”
Now, it is one thing if someone inspires you to reach for something. But I am talking about coveting what someone else has. Coveting is dangerous. Why? It turns into jealousy, envy and resentment. Comparing yourself to others can provide a destructive justification for staying exactly where you are.
You can’t reach your full potential if you are too focused on what others have and feel that you are deprived or lacking.
What you truly believe is that what you have or who you are is not enough. Coveting blocks your personal growth. Trust me, anything that keeps you from growing is not worth fighting for.
When you fall into comparison mode, you miss out on your wonderful unique qualities and blessings that no one else has. Don’t take them for granted. There is only one of you in all time.
No one else has your fingerprints.
No one else has your DNA.
No one else has your journey.
No one else can put your unique mark on the world.
We all have our own individual paths.
Honor YOUR path.
Why?
There will never be another you.
How could you ever compare something so unique?
