As a recently new mom to an incredible, edible 4-month old (ah baby smell) I had to get something out to my eco-mammas. Mother’s Day is your day (YES, so stop doing what we know you all do, and that is EVERYTHING) and keep reading.

Us mom’s can’t do it alone. We realize it takes a team to raise a family and a team to help you be your green glamorous self.  So I solicited the help of a talented, stylish, own my own biz, mother of two beautiful girls, Amanda Buffington, Founder and Eco-Chic-sta mommy blogger of The Magic Cocoon to bring to you our TOP 10 PICKS to lovely yourself up this Mom’s Day.

I could not think of a better person to ask than a fellow mom who takes her home life into her business giving us a spin on living magically. The Magic Cocoon is about those small places of wonder & creativity we create for our families. Goods that inspire purpose, items that are homespun, and the creation of lovely Mums. Enjoy the read Momma’s.  ~ Jerah

Put your feet up and leave it to us, we’ll having you feeling like a million green bucks in a jiff. Long gone are the days of organic beauty being completely inaccessible. Gratefully, organic beauty products are becoming widely available and sometimes it can be a bit hard to know which to choose.  ~ Amanda

Your Two Feet – Amanda’s pick #1, Twig and Leaf Botanicals

Twig and Leaf Botanicals has totally taken the guess work out of it. Making it completely affordable, ethically harvested and filled with nothing but love and goodness. The brilliant part about Twig and Leaf’s vast array of products is that they all come packaged in recyclable glass jars and bottles so you are free to reuse them and be inspired to create your own creations. There are so many products to choose from but here are a few that truly scream “Momma needs me!”:

Twig and Leaf Botanicals

Refreshing Foot Spray. Barking Dogs? Sometimes a foot massage is out of the question but a refreshing spritz of this lovely potion and it’s assured that your tootsies will “ooh and aah” . Your feet are your foundation. Love ‘um. This foot spray is also a fantastic addition to a pregnant mommy’s bedside stash. We all know that the feet are filled with sensitive pressure points that are best left alone during pregnancy which is why this spray makes the yearning for a good deep foot massage a bit less major. Keep it in your yoga bag or beach bag after a vibrant sandy sun soaked day. Seriously, get some already!

Your Body – Amanda’s pick #2, Twig & Leaf Lovely Lavender Soak

Twig & Leaf Lovely Lavender Soak is vegan and contains sustainably harvested palm glycerine and organic lavender flowers floating in a crushed magical sea salt. The ritual of taking a bath, preparing it soulfully for yourself by meticulously placing candles or your favorite things, dim lights and soothing scents. Even if for a brief cluster of moments transport yourself into a zen mommy state releasing the zany bits of your gorgeous life! The lovely part about the palm glycerine is that it washes clean, clean, clean and you don’t have to worry about the ring around the tub once you emerge refreshed (talk about a buzz kill). The recycled glass bottle with sustainable cork lid is so gorgeous that even keeping it on a desk near by and taking in a breath of lavender goodness is bound to make any moment special!

Your Shoes – Jerah’s pick #5, Terra Plana Shoes

I am smitten with very few shoe companies because so many just don’t do it eco. Gone are the days of a squeaky black eco-boot I ordered from London back in the mid 90’s. I am saying hello to some awesome 21st century eco-shoe brands, one of them being, Terra Plana. Winner of the “Best Of Green” awards by Treehugger, you can wear assured that your shoe is not only eco (each product comes with an eco score) but also fall within my THREE key elements to shoe shopping; comfortable, durable and stylish. They use more stitching and less glue, these are lighter shoes for a lighter carbon footprint, recycled materials, vegan, vegetable tanned leathers, and on and on. “Over 300 million shoes from the US alone end up in the landfill,” says Terra Plana. How can you help? Make your next shoe purchase eco. There is nothing more I can say about a heel as lovely as these but what they say on their packaging “Total Beauty.”

Your Read (ok, not fashion but coffee table couture) – Jerah’s pick #6, Celebrating Women

Celebrating Women is a chronicle of vibrant festivals that honor women! Come on mums, how could you not add this to your reading list this year. Spanning 15 countries, Paola Gianturco showcases parties, competitions, parades all in the name of women. I have a hunch the U.S.A. may not be a featured country. Why? Well show me a celebration for women (not a protest) and I will recant my hunch. More the reason to purchase is to inspire one another worldwide the prowess of our souls.

Your Baby Wrap – Jerah’s pick #7, Whrapsody

This is a shout out to all those mommas who like to wrap. Wearing your baby is great for a baby’s development, they still feel cocooned to you like being in the womb, and with so many stylish options it makes it easy to wrap chic-ly. I personally have a Whrapsody Bali Breeze and have loved wrapping my little one up in over 12 ways. The Bali Breeze are hand-dyed and batiked in Bali, Indonesia, are made of gauze which allows for air flow, has small tie knots, folds up nicely into a compact travel pocket and is strong enough to hold older children as your little one grows. Most of all, you can lovely up you and baby with a design of your choice by searching the color feature in their shop. Now, it’s time for those online instructional videos on their website so I can get the Tibetan style koala carry down. Thank you GypsyMama!

Your Bag- Jerah’s pick #9, Torino

Homemade Bags from Torino, Italy on Etsy. Former home of the 2006 Winter Olympics, in a city known as “the little Paris” in northwest Italy, comes a young designer, Chiara Turbiglio whom hand sews and designs elegant and casual chic bags that are eye catching. From bucket bags to studded totes to handbags, each bag is made from genuine Italian leather, handsewn from leather to stud to label. Not only does she spend attention to detail but to my favorite key word as a new mom; functionality. I am grabbing the Nude Suede Leather Square Bag.
