Setting the Mood with Aromatherapy

Let’s reminisce shall we? Remember that fun Jerry Maguire moment with the cute little kid in the great big glasses?

“Did you know the human head weighs 8 pounds…” is a classic line that always makes me giggle.

So here I go with some green trivia for ya – now that I have you in the mood!
  • Did you know that humans can differentiate between 4000-10, 000 different smells! It’s true!
And, (according to everythingsmells.com)
  • Did you know, “Researchers at the University of Florida College of Dentistry exposed 13 men and 13 women to uncomfortable heat and pressure on muscles in the jaw and back and then had them inhale lavender or an odorless control for 10 minutes during different sessions.

The lavender oil significantly reduced the memory of pain’s intensity and unpleasantness. How to use it: Shake 5 to 10 drops of lavender essential oil onto a tissue; inhale freely during dental work.” – Prevention (January 2005)

  • Did you know, “The aroma of Green Apples can help control appetite.”
  • Did you know, “The smell of lavender can help with insomnia and sleep disorders.”
Oh and I just love this one!
  • Did you know, “Women are born better smellers than men and remain better smellers over life.”

HA! So guys – good news! Your dirty socks are maybe, not really even that smelly. It could just be that we women have super-hero sniffing powers is all! And if you do – no worries…grab some all natural, therapeutic grade organic essential oils to naturally tackle the stinks!

“The practice of using natural oils extracted from flowers, bark, stems, leaves, roots or other parts of a plant to enhance well-being is known as Aromatherapy” (www.aromatherapy.com). By using essential oils (highly concentrated extracts from plants) we can enhance feelings of balance. Aromatherapy oils can be used alone or combined with other oils/carrier oils to create your own blend!

These naturally occurring oils are believed by many to have healing properties and can be used in place of potentially harmful chemicals often found in commercial fragrances that have been manufactured artificially. Our family uses them routinely in our bath water, our diffuser and they even make a wonderful non-toxic room freshener when mixed with water in a spritz bottle!

There are many oils that can be used alone or blended with a carrier oil to help enhance your mood or used to relax and soothe! So this Valentine’s Day, a nice blend recommended by  www.aromatherapy.com might just create the romanctic ambiance you’re dreaming of!

  • Aphrodisiac

Clary Sage, Jasmine, Patchouli, Rose, Sandalwood, Vanilla, Ylang Ylang

Or a soothing and stress-relieving massage for your special someone?

  • Stress Relief

Bergamot, Chamomile, Lavender, Lemon, Orange, Patchouli, Vanilla, Ylang Ylang

Whichever essential oils you use, make sure to read all safety info on it prior to use. Some oils should not be used by pregnant women or applied directly to the skin. “Do not apply drops directly to your skin; blend with carrier oils or lotions if you want to apply it that way” (http://www.aromatherapy.com/).

There are a wide variety of essential oils available at a reasonable price and I hope you enjoy all of the ways that our amazing plants and natural surroundings can increase our happiness…and perhaps add a little boost in the romance department too!

Image exif info is useful to for image forensics. But EXIF data won't tell you too much – the user might have loaded the photo into something like Photoshop just to crop it the way he wanted. Site Photoshopped Image Killer is beyond that, it mines structural information from image content and classifies image as original or altered based on that.

The method of producing your own aromatherapy items is quite easy and entertaining. For some it's a hobby even though other people use it as a cash creating process. Aromatherapy candles and soaps are the most widespread homemade aromatherapy goods out there. Aromatherapy oils are a leading selling product. They're utilized to create these aromatherapy goods. They're also utilised in diffusers. Aromatherapy oils may be added to your bath or placed in a bowl of hot water.
