While the advances of the last century have been vast, not all of them have created beneficial progress. With every technological advance, we have often first looked for its defensive capabilities. With every resource, we have often sought domination. With every medicinal advance, we have often first considered profitability. With every possibility of alternatives to broken methods, we have often approached them with fear and trepidation.
Nevertheless, thought by thought, mind by mind, community by community, we are coming into a new awareness of the world around us and our place in it. Many of us have seen the specter of mankind’s final days and realized the wisdom in changing our attitudes and behavior in order to avert the bleak future which awaits us if we don’t. Because of these changed minds, the vision of our future is starting to glimmer again.
Make a conscious effort to view the world differently today. See something today that you didn’t notice yesterday. Realize that a positive outlook on the world around you will shine a brighter light on the world to come.
