FANTAST-ECO!!

Looking for alternative eco friendly gifts or just want to eco indulge yourself? Want to give back and help make a difference? Then check out these businesses. After doing lots of research and personal product reviews, these are 3 cool companies that stand out.

Coco Necklaces

Green jewelry is a must for me, in fact my wedding rings were hand-made from fallen/unused wood. So when I was looking for a special gift for a friend’s birthday I was glad to discover a company called Ecogear. Their website is easy to navigate and I found exactly what I was looking for, beautiful COCO pendants carved into 3 different designs. These are made from fallen coconut shells combined with a jute adjustable string.  When I received them I was very impressed. Their simple but natural Eco Chic was exactly what I was looking for. I investigated further on their website and found that I could donate money to help purchase materials to enable Kenyan children to build a real classroom. A passion of mine is education for all children so of course I made a donation. Another item I purchased from Ecogear was a beautiful t shirt made from recycled cotton clippings and recycled water bottles!! Sound uncomfortable?  It is wonderful and soft, washes really well, and fits beautifully. Additionally, their jute bags are very earthy, a good size, and very raw – ideal for carrying my weekly purchase of raw food and goodies from the farmers market.

ha organic

Another company I became aware of through Facebook is hā organic. I recently became their 1000th friend and received a free “Cultivate the Earth” t shirt.  (the Hawaiian word for breath) was chosen to remind you to breathe, center yourself, and soften to connect with life around you, bringing that inner essence right to the surface. They use organic cotton, bamboo and eco blends in their garments.  Soft, beautiful to wear, and with a simple but effective message, I love my new t-shirt. This company also gives a percentage of their gross sales to non-profit organizations that educate children’s minds, bodies, and souls.

A Lot To Say

A LOT TO SAY is a company with a lot to say!  Utilizing the power of the written word, they came up with a concept for a green t-shirt line. The environmental line that was born is eco-friendly and super cute, which is super important. The shirts are made completely of environmentally respectful materials and organic fabrics. And they are made in the USA, which means no sweatshop labor.  Made from recycled plastic bottles, these amazingly comfortable garments not only help conserve our planet’s limited resources they also remove non-biodegradable materials from our landfills.  Their product line goes beyond clothing. Check out their website for more cool products. You can even wake up with wonderful messages written on your pillowcase !

I feel so good purchasing items from these companies and knowing that I am making a difference by giving back. Plus I get to look totally eco groovy at the same time !!
