“Show me a person who has never made a mistake and I’ll show you somebody who has never achieved much.” – Joan Collins
It is rumored that before Mickey Mouse took his place in the lexicon of American culture, Walt Disney declared bankruptcy seven times. Ulysses S. Grant, Donald Trump, Larry King, Abraham Lincoln, Thomas Paine, and Mark Twain also went bankrupt before they achieved the triumphs they are known for today. Imagine if they had let their mistakes get the better of them.
Each of us has had our setbacks. Each of us will probably have more. But with each mistake we make along the way, we grow wiser for the wear and are more able to make better decisions on the journey yet to come.
If you feel that your decisions have you mired, remember the people that have gone before you and overcome ever greater obstacles. Your situation is never hopeless as long as you keep supplying the hope.
