“Great acts are made up of small deeds.” – Lao Tzu

There are some who argue that in order to stop climate change and save the environment, personal action will do little in comparison to putting governmental regulations on the big businesses and letting environmental responsibility trickle down. While I’m not against regulating corporations with only profit as their goal, I do not discount the power of the people.

If we as a people are to become more eco-conscious as a society, in order for it to fully blossom, it will have to grown naturally. Starting with the roots of our culture, the people that comprise it, every act we perform and initiative we begin will grow into a movement that will harvest we are looking for. Our government, of the people, is an aspect of that, but the real change will occur in each of our decisions to be conscious of the earth and our awareness of how we care for it.
