“Give a man health and a course to steer, and he’ll never stop to trouble about whether he’s happy or not.” – George Bernard Shaw
In this age of consumerism, we are often sold the idea that owning certain things will make us happy. After pouring our energy into attaining these things and still not finding happiness, we continue to seek more things, endlessly searching for that missing ingredient that will bring us the bliss we desire. But what if, instead of seeking our bliss in the things we desire once our striving is complete, we find our bliss in the striving itself? What if we seek our bliss in the things we do every day, in caring for our bodies and fulfilling our purpose through the very activities we perform on a daily basis? What if we simply enjoy the journey wherever it may lead?
