One of the most common arguments I hear against buying organic or healthy food is the cost. Usually, I answer back that it is better to pay for good food now than to pay the doctor’s bill later. However, I recently became aware of a website that makes it a bit more affordable to eat healthy.
Meli is a married mom from Tampa who says she is trying to “live as naturally as possible, on a budget.” What’s even greater is that she’s trying to help other people do the same thing. She’s doing it through a blog called Purely Saving.

Save Green & Stay Green
In each post, Meli informs her readers about special deals, online coupons, and other ways to save money on all sorts of natural and organic products. Though she only went live with the website last month, she has already covered the gamut from organic baby formula and meats to all natural cleaning products and cereal. She also throws in links to recipes, food related articles, and some of her own thoughts on eating healthy.
Meli says she’s cut back in most every area of her life in the desire to live more simply and frugally, but she did not want to cut back on eating right. Through coupon clipping and seeking out the deals she now shares through her blog, she says she’s cut her grocery bill down “by at least 70% and still managed to eat healthy food.”
So go pay Meli a visit. She’s living proof that you don’t have to go broke to eat healthy.
