If you are looking for Jewelry but want something a bit different, eco, handmade and truly beautiful then look no further than Netta Beads. Glynetta is a Jewelry Artist who works in glass and recycled metals. She started out making glass lamp beads which evolved into metal working. She uses only recycled copper, sterling silver, and aluminum in her jewelry collections.
Instead of depleting the Earth’s natural resources Netta Beads uses the metals that we already have here, using old electrical wire, copper washers, and roofing material to create unique pieces of wearable art. The copper comes from a metal recycling center where Glynetta hand picks all the copper for each piece that she creates. The sterling silver comes from a refining company that melts down scrap silver and draws it back into round wire so it can be used for new creations. To add a further organic and rustic element to the jewelry, she uses a black steel magnetic clasp cord and also a hemp cord.
I contacted Netta Beads as I needed a unique gift for the new owners of my recent litter of Chocolate Labrador Puppies. Now this may sound strange, but I searched for unique dog tags, and Netta’s site came up. She also makes the most amazing dog tags along with her jewelry. I ordered the items and received them in good time for the puppies going to their new homes. All the owners were delighted with their handmade eco gifts.
Along with the stunning jewelry and dog tags, Netta reuses old scrabble pieces to make pendants with different designs. Glynetta was a pleasure to deal with, my order arrived quickly, and I am delighted with my Tree of Life, Treehugger, and re-purposed Scrabble pendants. Netta Beads is definitely a site to visit if you want to purchase something different as a gift or for yourself, make an eco-conscious decision, and wear these beautiful pieces of artwork with pride.
