Are You a Modern Hippie?

What do you think a Modern Hippie is? Though the movement is almost fifty years old, it has changed quite a bit since the Summer of Love. The Modern Hippie doesn’t necessarily follow the same fashion guidelines or even the same behavior as his Bohemian forefathers. So what does a Modern Hippie look like? Jaszy went to EcoFest in Sarasota, Florida recently to ask people that very question.

Do you consider yourself a free spirit or nonconformist?

Are you actively doing your part to protect the environment?

Do you dream of the day when you no longer have to endure the smell of gasoline?

Does the word organic make your mouth water?

Do you feel a connection with nature?

Are you striving to be more conscious about what you consume and what you throw away?

Have you ever been called Treehugger, Granola, Peacenik, or Greenie?

If you said “Yes” to any of these, you might just be a Modern Hippie. If so, count yourself among a growing number of people who are devoting themselves day by day to conscious living and environmental sustainability. So subscribe to Modern Hippie Mag for daily articles, videos, podcasts and all around inspiration on how you can live a greener, healthier, and more conscious life.
