“Fashion is not something that exists in dresses only. Fashion is in the sky, in the street, fashion has to do with ideas, the way we live, what is happening.” – Coco Chanel

Fashion truly is more than what people are wearing. It is the movement which takes place across a collective consciousness where people find agreement on the ideas of what is beautiful, what is stylish, what is useful, and what is important. Although fashion does fade, it also sets a precedent, a defining momentum upon which a generation builds an image of itself to be remembered for generations to come. Some fashions do not fade, but merely ebb and flow, morphing to meet the needs of the next generation. It need not be a trivial trend that being green is in fashion. The truly inspirational promise of eco-fashion is that it is even more versatile than blue jeans and is sure to be with us even longer, changing the way we think, the way we look, the way we feel, and the way we live.
