“In character, in manner, in style, in all things, the supreme excellence is simplicity.”- Henry Wadsworth Longfellow
It seems that we have developed in our society the rampant capacity to extremely complicate everything. As much as we might develop industries, products, and technologies to help us simplify our lives, the very act of development only serves to complicate things more. While society, with its insatiable need to expand and evolve, will be very slow going in achieving simplicity, on the individual level the virtue is still attainable. In truth, that is where simplicity is most profound. Nevertheless, if each of us realizes simplicity as one thing at a time, we will someday realize the oneness of all things and society as a whole may know simplicity.
