There is a reason that a good, hearty stew has more than one ingredient. It is the diversity of tastes that bring the flavor to the broth. So it is with this melting pot of a country, and so it is with every community within it. Even within our families, our differences are what make us memorable, unique, and full of flavor. Appreciating those differences in our families and in our communities makes the whole of humanity more beautiful, and the ties that bind stronger.
