{Book Review}: The McAllister Code

I have never written a book review before, but, The McAllister Code by Steve McAllister is unlike any book I have read before. The advertisements on Amazon and elsewhere do not do this book justice in my opinion. I doubt that I will do the proper justice, because I cannot think of all the words to embrace the essence of this book.

It is a story of a man who is as ordinary as you or I. He is in the middle of writing a screenplay in the midst of a hurricane. It is during this time he sees what he believes may be a UFO. There is no contact with anything, just an object passing overhead with really no other explanation. He goes to bed that night and awakens the next morning to emails about a marketing book he has written.  Many folks congratulate him and he receives rave reviews from Amazon. There are press releases going out. One problem. He hasn’t written a book. Thus, this man’s journey begins.

The journey takes us through a meeting with two of the most funny and intelligent extraterrestrial beings. These beings help the author to find his way to write the book that has not been written. The journey winds through the beginning of mankind to present day. All the way along this journey the author receives wisdom about marketing, life, and spirituality.

Before I read this book, my expectations were that it was going to give me ideas about running my business. The book is being billed as “a fictional approach to marketing that is out of this world.” So, I expected another book of business help ideas for the new entrepreneur. But I came away with more than just a better sense of doing business. This is about the role of us all as One, together on this roller coaster we call Life. This is about doing business in the light of the whole, not just as a means to an end. The book is about life and truly living.

Within the pages of this book, you will find a new marketing approach that will revolutionize not only the way we do business, but also view life. The fundamental principles that you know should be principles in good business are here, illuminated in a way that affects not only your business, but your life and the life of those around you. Place the principles put forth in this book into your business and personal life, and you will prosper financially and personally.

Ken, thanks for a fantastic review. Having read The McAllister Code about three times, I can say that you completely nailed the gist of it! It is definitely unlike anything I've ever read in a very surprising, entertaining and enlightening way.

I am Steve's greatest cheerleader, not only because he is the best hubby in the world, but also because he is a phenominal writer as proven in this book. The characters, especially the aliens, so often made me laugh out loud, but they also made me think and gave me quite a new perspective on the best way to do business…with heart.

If you'd care to take a stab at being his publicist, let us know! Thanks again!
