Imagine - by Melinda Visan
“Without this playing with fantasy no creative work has ever yet come to birth. The debt we owe to the play of the imagination is incalculable.” – Carl Jung
A few thousand years ago, people imagined growing food so that they wouldn’t have to hunt for it, bringing about the Agricultural Revolution. A few hundred years ago, people imagined machines that would make their labor easier, ushering in the Industrial Revolution. A hundred years ago, people imagined the power inherent in the atom and it spawned the Atomic Age. A few decades ago, people imagined the possibilities of computer technology, bringing about the Age of Information. Today, we’re imagining a sustainable future of renewable energy. Let us continue to fantasize so that we may create the next Revolution.
