“The key is not to prioritize what’s on your schedule, but to schedule your priorities.” – Stephen Covey
So often, we get so wrapped up in getting things done that we forget about what’s truly important. We forget that it’s not about getting a lot of things accomplished. It’s about being accomplished. Though the difference might seem subtle, it’s immense.
In this fast-paced, hurly burly world, there are an endless number of tasks that beg for our attention. Sometimes it can feel as if our boat is filling up with water faster than we can bail it out. It’s important that we remember one of Mr. Covey’s Seven Habits of Highly Effective People: First Things First.
As you set up your plans for the day, the week, the month, and year, remember what is truly important. Remember that it is not just about the tasks you accomplish, but the purpose behind them.
