SpiritBeautyLounge.comOn my quest to find a hair cleansing system that was not only all natural, but actually cleansed my hair and scalp, leaving my hair soft and shiny, I found CTONICS. Like a genie in a bottle, it fulfilled all my hair wishes…

In the world of hair care there are easily thousands of different products. At their core, however, most of them are little more than different versions of the same concoction. A product may differ among brands in the amounts or types of silicones, foaming agents, emulsifiers, etc. but in the end they function pretty much the same way. Somehow though, companies manage to keep reinventing the wheel, and each product makes claims bigger than the last.

The introduction of one spray-gel/aqua-mousse/putty-paste starring ingredient ‘x’ after another had me so ready to relinquish my hair to the ubiquitous ponytail that when C TONICS arrived on my doorstep a few weeks ago I very nearly hugged the UPS guy. Naturally, I immediately tore into the box containing these three products: CORE, PULSE, and ELIXIRMILK. Into the shower we went.

Core_ProductCORE and PULSE are both cleansing tonics, the former for normal to oily hair and scalp (that’s me) and the latter for normal to dry hair and scalp. They have the consistency of a clay smoothie and an initially disconcerting, rich brown color. ELIXIRMILK is a multi-purpose, divine-smelling conditioner which, despite its rich ingredients (shea butter, green tea oil and vitamin e) is amazing for oily hair. All of the products create a very subtle, dense, creamy lather when worked into very wet hair, as recommended on the bottle. I have not stopped using them since they arrived, and my hair has been noticeably softer and shinier. I didn’t even need any smoothing/shine product when I gave myself a blowout. The bigger bonus is that my scalp, which is prone to oiliness and irritation, has been comfortable and balanced.

CTONICS (www.ctonics.com) is “a multi-dimensional line of essential holistic treatments for the scalp and hair.” I describe it as AMAZING! CTONICS products are made from 100% bioactive, organic, food grade ingredients like blue-green algae, omega-3 oils, botanical herbs, almond proteins, mineralized clays, and natural essential oils, providing a complete cleansing, balancing and nourishing treatment. CTONICS puts thought and consideration for the environment, its customers, and its community into every aspect of their operations from recyclable packaging that is made in the USA to sourcing the best ingredients from around the globe. They also don’t use any harmful sulphates, synthetics, or petrochemicals.

CTONICS not only meet all my criteria for a great, natural product (100% natural ingredients, use of organics, no petrochemicals, commitment to the environment, and a holistic approach), but they do it with style and spirit. With just a few washes, CTONICS has earned my devotion, my recommendation, and a place in my shower.
